TPG Aged Care (TPG) acknowledges that there is a growing concern about Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the community and how it may affect you and your family. However, it is important to note that there has also been a lot of mis-information and sensationalism being spread which is unnecessarily causing increased anxiety.
TPG follows the clinical advice of the Chief Medical Officer (WA Department of Health. WA Department of Health website has some great information about Coronavirus (COVID-19), including a downloadable Frequently Asked Questions document.

TPG staff follow infection control procedures as a matter of course, each day – every day.
The best way to protect yourself is the same as you would against any respiratory infection. These practices are even more important in the current environment with all government authorities identifying the practice of good hand hygiene as the most effective procedure for reducing the spread of disease. Practice good hygiene by:
• making sure to clean your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub
• cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with tissue or a flexed elbow
• avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.
